History
How I ended up building hand-coded websites.
I started at a Mallorca agency designing WordPress template sites for local SMEs. I learned what worked, what broke and what the end client never quite understood. I also learned to write code from scratch because templates ran out of room two weeks into every project.
In 2023 I set up Burguera Studio as a personal studio. The idea was simple: combine a designer's eye with a developer's craft, and deliver the full system (not just the pretty website). No middle agencies, no salespeople, no tickets in weird tools. A conversation between client and me, from brief to deploy.
In 2026, after a year learning which project types fit and which don't, I pivoted the focus to three concrete profiles: peninsular marketing agencies that need a technical partner, Spanish SMEs with traffic that need landings that convert, and premium restaurateurs in Mallorca that need a full system (bookings + admin + multi-language). I still take projects outside those profiles when they fit, but that's the engine.

Philosophy
Four rules I don't negotiate.
Measurable outcome.
Every block has a conversion purpose, every CTA is tracked, every visual decision answers a business question. Not "looks nice": "converts better".
Direct contact.
No salespeople, no project managers, no middlemen. You talk to me from the first call to deploy. Direct WhatsApp during business hours.
Real speed.
A landing in 5-7 days, a full website in 3-4 weeks. Not three months of "creative scaffolding". Optimized workflow with Claude Code to keep quality without stretching timelines.

Stack
What I use. And why.
- Backend PHP 8 + MySQL For systems with custom admin (menus, bookings, products), structural multi-language and internal APIs. Stable, well-known and maintainable.
- Frontend Astro · Next.js · vanilla JS Astro for fast static sites. Next.js when there's an app or headless e-commerce. Vanilla JS when nothing else is needed. Each tool in its place.
- CSS Tailwind · hand-written CSS Tailwind to speed up prototyping. Hand-written CSS with a token system when the project needs unique visual identity (most of them).

GSAP + Lenis
Smooth scroll + controlled micro-animations. Disabled if the user has
prefers-reduced-motion. Performance first. - Technical SEO Schema.org + hreflang + sitemap Schemas tailored to page type, complete hreflang for multi-language, XML sitemap, canonicals. Everything Google needs to index well from day 1.
- Workflow Claude Code AI-assisted development workflow that lets me keep code quality while shortening timelines. What used to take 4 weeks now takes 2-3.
- Hosting LiteSpeed · Vercel · Cloudflare LiteSpeed for PHP sites. Vercel for Next.js/static Astro. Cloudflare in front when traffic justifies it. Hosting always under the client's name, not mine.
- Analytics GA4 + Search Console + Looker GA4 with conversion events configured from deploy. Search Console for indexation and SEO. Looker Studio if a custom dashboard is needed.

Cases
Published cases. More on the way.
Of the projects delivered, one has a full case study published: Restaurante Son Colom in Felanitx. Full system with custom admin panel, bookings without TheFork commissions and native multi-language in four languages. Lighthouse mobile 96/100 measured in production.
Other projects in the portfolio (Africa Navarro, Estudi Guillem Marc, Nespit Italia, Fat y Salat, Fomenta Fisioterapia, FisiON, Triple) have real client reviews but no written case study yet. When I write them they'll appear in /en/projects/.
