La Vespa.

Case study

Fusion food bar in Artà. Classic tapas, Italian pasta and pinsa, burgers and a trip to Mexico, all on the Plaça del Conqueridor. A six-language one-page site with GSAP scroll storytelling, an eleven-category menu and WhatsApp bookings with its own date picker.

Multi-language one-page site with GSAP, delivered in July 2026.

Terrace of La Vespa on the Plaça del Conqueridor in Artà
The brief

A second website for the same owner: three doors down from Sorrentino's, with a different cuisine and a different personality.

La Vespa opened in 2023 on the same Artà square as Sorrentino's, with the same owner and the opposite concept: Mediterranean fusion with tapas, pinsa romana, burgers and Tex-Mex. The website had to stand apart from its Italian sister without losing what already worked: a readable menu, WhatsApp bookings and the six languages spoken on the square.

  1. 01

Three cuisines on one menu, no chaos

Tapas, pasta and pinsa, burgers and Mexico: eleven categories with over 40 dishes, organised with anchors for thumb-friendly browsing.

    Carta digital
  2. 02

Bookings with a date picker, no platforms

A localised date picker that knows Thursdays are closed, composes the message and opens it in the restaurant's WhatsApp. 0 % commission.

    No commissions
  3. 03

A personality of its own, in motion

GSAP scroll storytelling: the site unfolds like a food bar menu, not like yet another restaurant template.

    Custom GSAP

A one-page site you stroll like the square: from the terrace to the table.

Custom PHP, GSAP and not a single plugin in the house.

The most animated site in the portfolio is also among the lightest: 44 KB of HTML, custom animation and all JavaScript served from its own domain. No external CDNs, no WordPress, no dependencies that expire.

    • 11 categories
    • 40+ dishes
    • Data per language
    • No PDF
  3. 03

Bookings with a calendar that knows when you close.

A date picker localised in all six languages that blocks the weekly closing day, composes the message with date, time and party size and opens it in the restaurant's WhatsApp. No platforms in between.

    • Localised date picker
    • Closing day blocked
    • 0% commission
    • Pre-filled message
  4. 04

AVIF images and privacy as standard.

An AVIF hero with preload and fetchpriority, an AVIF + WebP gallery with fallback, a custom cookie banner in six languages and GA4 with Consent Mode v2. Fast with the big photo and correct with GDPR.
